This project shows a bespoke staircase and decorative balustrade, following the handrail line from the flight up onto the landing.
The work brings together a timber handrail and newel with decorative metal balusters as a single, continuous run.
The Brief
The Brief
A staircase balustrade is read along its whole length. The handrail line had to flow continuously from flight to landing, with balusters evenly spaced and consistently set.
Our Approach
Our Approach
The handrail was set out to follow the flight and turn cleanly onto the landing, with the decorative metal balusters spaced evenly beneath it and fixed to a consistent line.
